The police have suggested as a way to stop people from defacing the pages, banning under 18's from making tribute pages.

What the hell? Stopping teenagers with good intentions paying tribute to the deceased person because of the actions of these "trolls"??

WTF???

I am sick of hearing ignorant stories like this.

Facebook is a free service with no doubt several hundred million pages. What do you expect for nothing? That they will have a support staff of several thousand people online 24/7 just to listen to people's complaints?

As for age, if some porno site says "tick here to show you are over 18", do you think that is going to make 14 year old boys go away?

Idiots "calling for" this and that should get real.

Why don't police request a ban on speed limit signs because they're tired of pulling over speeders?

If you can't learn to deal with a troll or internet vandal, without going all emotional and stuff, then you shouldn't be connected to the internet, otherwise you might be offended! Perish the thought of someone being offended.

The internet is not for the faint of heart. You need to be able to withstand criticism without getting butthurt as trolls call it or stay away.

What is it with Facebook? The Internet has always been very loosely controlled, and I thought everyone knew that. But it seems with Facebook people just don't understand. They keep trying to control it, but it's impossible, and we don't need to make it possible.

The pages were defaced with bestiality. I don't think teens should be banned but recommended to not put up tribute pages, unless more security is used to stop hackers.
It's a horrible thing to happen to a tribute page. The sad thing is that I'm not surprised it happened. It was probably one of the reasons I stopped going to a forum that had trolls like that in it.
