IMO, this sounds like a lot of BS backed up by more poorly conducted research.

What do you think?

Well I am unable to even read an abstract for the paper, the popular science article which the OP's link is to does not explain much about how the study was done. I fear that if they do not have a control group then the study is meaningless.

Diagnosed under the DSM5 rules with autism spectrum disorder, under DSM4 psychologist said would have been AS (299.80) but I suspect that I am somewhere between 299.80 and 299.00 (Autism) under DSM4.

I have my doubts about the legitimacy of this particular study, but if it's true, that'd be quite nice. Gossips in elementary school turn into gossips in high school, and at that point, it gets really, really annoying.
