Hasn't been in the US since he was five; now risks ten years in a high-security, US prison for doing the same thing that Google does.

Petition against the case:

What's next? North Koreans being sent back for talking anything but good about that country's leaders, or Iranian women being sent back to Iran for dressing in western-type clothes? (Well, no, that won't happen, as those countries aren't the US(S)A.)

...Seems the UK apparently already is the 51st state of the USA?

If you do your research on this whole internet censorship subject, you'll find things which scare you to oblivion. For example:
http://youtu.be/18ZsJlR9B4Q - Video about megauploads shutdown, which references this extradition and what else is happening.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=citzRjwk-sQ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8Xg_C2YmG0 explain ACTA well. ACTA, PIPA and SOPA are the main three I've read about. ACTA is mainly a european movement, but other countires are also in it.

The prosecutors would be fighting an uphill battle.

Megaupload is different as they knowingly harbored illegal content in full on their servers.

This is because the US and the UK have a special extradition agreement - it's the same thing they're doing Gary McKinnon with. It's ludicrous that they're allowed to get away with this BS. As the OP says, this guy did the same thing as Google. I truly hope the entertainment industry dies soon.

UK Home Secretary Theresa May approves the extradition:

To hell with the USA. To hell with the UK. All those behind this need to be held severely accountable. He's going to get raped in prison, now, and do they care? NO.
