Many Germans have a genetically imprinted urge to load up people they do not like into box cars. That urge (fortunately) is under control these days. May it remain so for a good long time.

As Ian Flemming pointed out, give a German a piece of coal and he will instinctively make analine dye.

Give one of us a large piece of metal, a circuit board and a few pipes and we'll have you a VW Beatle in about 5 hours

The German side of me would rather make a tiger tank and go tear stuff up with it.

Tiger is definitely a beaut, but I would build a Panther. Less parts that can malfunction, and you might be able to drive over an overpass without it collapsing and ruining your joyride

A minute ago you wanted a little Vdub beatle......

That was what I would have been able to build with minimal materials at hand. I'm a German, not a robot! ;)

You look rather dark for a German.

And communists aren't notorious for exploiting hard hit regions all over the world?
I swear, the nucleus of some people’s existence seems to be hatred of the right….

Those wouldn't be actual communists regardless of what they call themselves...because exploiting people is pretty much the opposite of what communism is supposed to be.

Regardless of their claimed intent, in practice they exploit the hell out of their subjects.

subjects? a classless society wouldn't have subjects...your talking about people who claim to be communists but who aren't.

Communism is as communism does so I'll take my chances with capitalism......

I'm mostly German, and I'm very ruddy. My Dad had a very deep ruddy complexion.

Unfortunately, at Kursk it could not overcome the Soviet battle tactic of outnumbering you 20 to 1 and hoping it is enough.

It's flaw was that it broke down to easy if that problem was solved it would have helped win the Nazis WW2.

When it worked. It broke down easily (unlike the T-34 which could run forever given fuel) and it was expensive to manufacture do it was not made in sufficient quantity. The Tigers could be done in by 5 Sherman tanks. 4 to keep it busy and the fifth to make a side shot which could penetrate the armor. The Allies lost a lost of Shermans but it did neutralize the Tigers on the western front.

At the beginning of the war the Tiger Tank was a beast the nazis though didn't have many of them plus it cost a arm and a leg to make.

The technology was so new they did not know how to use it. If everything was equal Poland would have wiped the floor with them. All you have to do is look at the Battle of Wizna and see what would have happened if they were not outnumbered 40-60 to 1 in every battle.

A good number of Polish troops fled the area and went to the United Kingdom. I believe Polish pilots shot down more planes than British ones during the Battle of Britain. The Polish army was probably the second-best army in Europe, but they had nowhere near the numbers of men as the Germans, and basically the entire German army invaded the country. If the UK and France formed a second front in Western Europe, and the Finns got relevant help when they were decimating the Soviets (remember, Stalin purged the military before the war and blithering idiots were running the show at the time), things would have been majorly different.

There were no Tigers at the beginning of the war.

I'm glad that the NPD isn't as powerfull as other nationalist-populist parties in other european countries (see Front National, Geert Wilders partie, the swiss SVP or also two big parties in Austria). But the writer Sarrazin had a great success with a islamophobia book.
I think that the best defence against nationalism and populism is education (but I think that politicians are usually populist).

Please do not compare them to Geert Wilders. What people tend to forget is that Wilders is just proposing we do what a lot of succesful countries have done before. Wilders is part-Indonesian himself. He has contact with several foreigners living here who have adapted to our values, who have become succesful and are trying to get others to do so. He's being blamed and called racist for setting realistic demands that are law in most western countries outside the European Union, including Canada, the United States and all developed Asian countries. Those demands simply include things like 'if you want to move here, you need to be self-sufficient or being educated, and adhere to our laws instead of islamic or tribal law'.

His proposals for the immigration policy, on a fun sidenote, are probably not nearly as strict as Canada's current policies.

I know what you're talking about as far as communism in it's pure form but it tends not to pan out that way in practice.
Tens of millions of dead Russians and Chinese (to name a few) tend to agree..........
Come back with whatever but I'm done beating this dead horse.

Well actual communism has not been practiced other then maybe in small communes...I don't think the examples of communism you'd bring up actually resemble communism. Soviet Russia certainly did not resemble communism considering actual communism would not even allow for a dictator like Stalin anyways. Also quite frankly I don't see capitalism being much superior in practice...capitalism even when it is set up correctly causes lots of problems itself.

Attempts to extend and expand communism to societies on a large scale have led only to disaster and death.

Democratic socialism is possible on a large scale but it general produces mediocre results in industry and science.

I don't know that Joseph Stalin was all that intrested in actually extending and expanding communism to societies at large, the dude was about as much of a communist as Hitler. Also though Democratic Socialism has some similarities to communism its hardly a substitute for actual communism. I don't know that communism could work on a large scale but that does not make false communism any closer to real communism.

But don't most - if not all - developed countries practice a blend of capitalism and socialism (including us)?
