Winner thought the trophy was secure on its base. It wasn't, it fell off and smashed on the ground.

Why don't they give out traditional trophies instead of glass trophies? I feel badly embarrassed for that man.

I'd welcome the return of old-school trophies with gold
or silver plating.
Or is this supposed to be an omen that victory
is always fragile?
