http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show ... aign-broke - Oh, the irony of all this. Donald Trump is one of the richest men on Earth, and yet his presidential campaign is FLAT BROKE. The joke pretty much writes itself here.

Donald J. Trump has no real campaign. He has no platform. He has no meaningful understanding of public policy or current events. He has a tiny and inadequate staff. He has a noticeable lack of support from his party, parts of which are plotting a convention coup against him.

That pretty much says it all. Except of course for Trump's religious bigotry and his hatred of Hispanics and many others whose enmity he's earned.

Billionaire Marc Cuban says he's willing to be Trump's vp.

He may need him now.

Trump was never going to finance the entire general election campaign, apparently Trump is a failure now because he doesn't have the billionaire Wall Street donor class behind him like Crooked Hillary. Quite an attempt at a narrative change. The elites in this country will spend billions on this election, they've invested a lot of money in Hillary for the free thinking Trump to ruin everything.

If you have seen my posts I have to put it mildly a very negative view on what a Trump presidency would look like. But this is not as important as political opponents are making it out to be. If his official campaign runs out of money he has plenty of money to finance it on his own. He knew that so why should he care how much of his official campaign spends? He does not need to spend nearly as much as her on things like advertising and organization because she is a bad campainer unlike Trump who just has to appear to get huuuuuge amount of free publicity.

Mittens had 17 mil.... And LOST.

Trump isn't taking money from special interestes so they are throwing more at Hillary.

How much does he need to spend to make innuendated American Public have better idea of what he "might" do for them?
Maddow is a Hillary supporter and pretty far left leanin. So why should her opinion make a difference outside the Democrat echo chamber ? This is a terrible silly opinion piece by that media slake. Couldn't she go after something with substance?

Anyway, Trump is miserly, he is going to spend the bare minimum to get the job done. *shrug*

No amount of money in the world can make Hillary likable, you can see the hatred she has for her fellow humanity just in the way she carries herself. She is a terrible evil person, an elitist who got there by paying off the special interests. The Clinton's are among the richest politicians in the US now, they were worth like $300,000 when they entered the White House in 93 and now they're worth like 10x that with most of this wealth being gain in the last 10 years. There is serious serious corruption issues with the Clinton Foundation while Hillary served as Secretary of State.

Trump should be able to raise money pretty easily thru small donations, Bernie was able to outpace Hillary in contributions and Ron Paul was a very strong doing the same thing. It's a new way of doing things and it doesn't make the candidate beholden to any special interest but rather the American people.

Trump's new slogan/hashtags he busted out today were great. #heswithus and #imwithyou as opposed to Hillary's hashtag #imwithher with all about herself. Trump wants to make America great again, Hillary wants to make herself and her friends richer at our expense.

People need to move beyond just the personalities, Trump is better than Hillary on the issues and I think should broad cross appeal.

 Hillary Rodham Clinton may be a sneaking, conniving, smarmy, condescending, crooked limousine-liberal, but at least she's not Donald Trump!

Now we'll see if Trump really is nearly as rich as he says he is, and will actually fund his campaign out of pocket. It's not such a leap in logic to think that a narcissist like Trump would greatly exaggerate his billions, after the loss of his fortune through financial mismanagement.

Trump really hasn't been trying to raise money. As much as it pains me to say, I think his fund raising will pick up.

One way or another, Trump won't lose this election for want of money.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Between the two enemies, assuming for whatever reason that both are considered enemies, most people in the world would favour Trump to topple Hillary from her High-Horse.

Yeah if you're not getting paid for this, you should apply. This is a perfect example of what those companies would be looking for.

I suspect that a lot of the money being paid to help Trump is going to super PACs. That and I don't think he's going for traditional campaigning. He's going to get as much free air time from the media he can get. He knows that no matter what he does or says at this point, he won't lose his base. So he'll just keep saying outrageous things to get attention.

Well Hillary certainly seems like she must have some business acumen to turn a $1000 investment in cattle futures into $100000 in less than 10 months, it's so weird she never traded again with such great talent. Definitely no corruption there.

Chapter 11 is a fundamental part of business, it's not the same of as Chapter 7. Trump can't be blamed for the boom town of Atlantic City to go bust, you can blame the Indian casinos more than him but that was not the first time that city went bust either. You can't blame Trump was the collapse of the real estate market, he didn't create that bubble. Who was in office in the 90s again? Trump has had tremendous business success, the fact he got punched in the jaw and got back up to make even more money is a good thing not a bad thing. Attacking Trump as a businessman is just not very smart, Hillary really shouldn't be talking about anybody's money.

If Trump ever reads long books- he usually stops at chapter 11.
