I've never hitch hiked - too risky. (Especially not after watching The Hitcher. lol)

The Hitcher is one of my all time favorite horror movies. Nobody but Hauer could have played John Ryder. Unfortunately, the remake sucked.
And Hauer made me feel a great deal of sympathy for Roy Batty, making him such a tragic figure that I can scarcely think of him as the villain. Just think, he's a slave fighting for not only his own freedom and life, but for the freedom and lives of the woman he loves and his friends - is this the actions of a villain? Harrison Ford as Decker kills runaway replicants (slaves) on sight - is this the actions of a hero?

It's a great movie!
