I didn't want to hijack the thread about "Uniquely Human" but what if those on the spectrum, those who were neuro-diverse were in the majority? What if Alex ran the world?

Then I think the world would look different in some ways, but also quite the same. It does look like a microcosm of the real world here, some different emphases, but remarkably the same.

If Alex was in charge, I would bet he would make sure autism has a voice.

Well, the question is, would we consider now-NTs to be the neurodiverse ones, then? Because they'd be the mental-minority?

Moderators then would have the power to ban ISIS, the KKK, Neo-Nazis, and the rest of humanity's trouble makers.

In other words, if consciousness edged close to the objective end; We would be less tied to our primeval instincts (a conscious species combining objectivity and subjectivity can be a messy specimen.) and embarked on the road to a very different animal. Fewer dramas methinks.

isn't the site called WP, because THIS very planet is THE wrong planet, hence, should the question not be: what if the planet was NOT the wrong planet?

And to answer your question: probably we'd be arguing about this for millennia, having world wars over which wrong planet we're referencing.
