Thank god it didn't hit right into Puerto Vallarta. If it did, who knows what the death toll could have been, and who knows how much destruction the resorts would have. Thank goodness.
On the other hand, Texas has to deal with up to 20'' of rain - feel sorry for those people in Houston, Brownsville and San Antonio. :(

The category 5 winds were over only occured in a 5 to 10 mile area near where the eye which struck which happened to be a sparsely populated area.
