Quote:
Trump issued a statement Tuesday afternoon, just hours after he signed the fiscal 2018 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law, touting the signing as a step toward his goal of building up the U.S. military.

Why is this even a goal? Building up the military, that is. Isn't it enough that the U.S. currently spends more on "defence" than the next 15 nations combined? What is there to defend against? Why is money being wasted like this, and no one seems to mind?

So a cyber attack can shut down our power grid with no way to fight back, but hey, at least we'll have more aircraft carriers and fighter drones.
