Good. Aside from being cruel and unusual, it's racist per se. Black people make up 13% of the population, but they make up 42% of death row and 35% of those executed. It's an egregious violation of the 14th Amendment which can only be rectified by it's abolition.

Yeah; Black lives matter.

Plus we have too many laws anyway, many of which violate separation of church and state.

And people wonder why society is going down the sewer? An eye for an eye, I say. Let the punishment fit the crime!

A few decades ago there was a ballot initiative in California to do away with the death penalty. It passed. The next thing that happened was that many people on death row for murder were released back into society immediately. The way the ballot initiative was written did not automatically commute a death sentence to life without parole. That upset many people in California. They felt betrayed by the process and the ballot initiative.
