At first I was horrified, but when I read this part...

They are stuck inside during winter months, so they get the feeling of being outside. I can relate. I hate the dark winter months. I'm thinking of getting a UV lamp. It's maybe similar.

I wonder if cows get Seasonal Affective Disorder?

Would be nice if the goal was to make the cows happier rather than produce more.

I used to work with animal researchers who would find out what kinds of enrichment the animals liked. Cows like brushes too.




Chickens favourite thing is a dust bath.
