That....and people will also build tunnels.

The "Wall" is but a symbolic gesture from my viewpoint.

It is ridiculous that at least 800,000 people are out of work as a direct result of the government shutdown---all because Trump is not getting his Blankie…..

I've spoken to people from quite a few countries. It is agreed, by most, that Trump is not a bad man, necessarily---but that he is a crybaby.

Every time something comes out about the Russia investigation, or about people in his employ, Trump gets all bent out of shape and tweets like mad. Like he's throwing verbal temper tantrums.

I disagree. He's a bad man by nearly every measure.

I didn’t say he wasn’t a bad man. I’m saying what the prevailing opinion is from people I’ve spoken to.

He’s considered to be a fool more than a truly evil man.

@goldfish21

Since you are obviously anti-wall, I have a question:

Do you support improved border security at all?

Any wall or fence is just a deterrent. If the fact that a boarder wall can be compromised is saying that makes it useless, then that would mean every wall and fence in the world is useless.

A wall/fence is just for buying time so the boarder agents can stop someone, especially groups like drug gangs or human trafficking. Presently there are vast stretches where vast groups can just walk across the boarder without needing tools like ladders and easily make entry.

Ya, sure. I have a family member that protects our border from the criminals, murderers, rapists and drug smugglers to the South of us & I'm all for things that make his job safer and more effective.

USA should have border security, too. But a $25-30B+ vanity project doesn't actually secure your Southern border. It's a complete waste of money & has come to be a symbol of anti-immigration & racism vs. security.

Most of the USA's illegal immigrants arrive via airplane, anyways.

You'll be happy to know that Trump downgraded his proposal to fencing where needed + drones and other security measures.

I agree with you on Visa overstays, a large problem that goes unaddressed,

A gas powered cut-off saw would also work. I think you could probably order one of those on Amazon.

Or a catapult. Or a mortar. Walls became obsolete shortly after the invention of the cannon. It's like locks, which also aren't secure. Any locksmith will tell you, locks only keep honest people honest.
