Link to BBC News Article: India man to sue parents for giving birth to him.
The basis for the claim seems to be rooted in a belief called "Anti-Natalism" -- the argument that life is so full of misery that people should stop procreating immediately.
The Plaintiff wrote:
"There's no point to humanity. So many people are suffering. If humanity is extinct, Earth and animals would be happier. They'll certainly be better off. Also no human will then suffer. Human existence is totally pointless. Isn't forcing a child into this world and forcing it to have a career, kidnapping, and slavery? Your parents had you instead of a toy or a dog, you owe them nothing, you are their entertainment."
Six months ago, one day at breakfast, the plaintiff told his mother that he was planning to sue her.
She said,
"That's fine, but don't expect me to go easy on you. I will destroy you in court."The plaintiff is now looking for a lawyer to take up his case, but so far he's not had much success.
I wonder why?
