The shooter's manifesto suggests he (Brendan Tarrant) is driven by a whit supremacist agenda (surprise surprise) not christian

In his manifesto he is particularly triggered by reported sexual exploitation of a reported 1400 white girls by Pakistani gangs in the UK. https://www.smh.com.au/world/oceania/ch ... 514ko.html

It's relevant that prior to moving to NZ Tarrant spent time in Pakistan which further reinforces his obsession with this region.

His attack on the two mosques isn't completely based on islamophobia as the majority of the 50 + victims are of Indian, Bangladeshi or Pakistani muslim origin. Given he was surveying his intended targets for a couple of months he must have chosen these particular mosques because of the ethnic origin of the devotees.

He had a Zionist, Christian Zionist mindset. He had a US foreign policy mindset and mainstream media mindset. An EDL mindset. An Anders Breivik mindset. Very similar. The obsession with Muslims. Having "Rotherham" written on his gun shows he has some kind of Tommy Robinson who is pictured on an Israeli tank. Katie Hopkins mindset, who is moaning about people showing sympathy to the victims. It's not as simple as 'white supremacy'.

Jacinta Arden has mentally evolved, an enlightened mind. We humans need to stop thinking "us" means people who look, sound and act like "us".

Roger Waters from Pink Floyd wrote a song called "Us and Them" back in 1972. The song is about how we humans are constantly fighting each other and separating ourselves into tribes based on an "us vs. them" mentality. The point is that we unnecessarily divide ourselves based on every little thing, concentrate on our differences when choosing friends or deciding who is a member of our silly primitive tribes, and forget to think about all the ways we're all humans and in "this thing" called life on earth together.

New Zealand's Christchurch Mosque Shooter Sentenced To Life Without Parole

Tarrant attacked Muslim worshipers at the Al Noor Mosque and Linwood Islamic Center with semiautomatic weapons on March 15, 2019. He killed 51 people and injured dozens of others. Before carrying out the deadly attack, he uploaded a hate-filled post to the anonymous message board 8chan. Tarrant livestreamed his attack on Facebook for 17 minutes before it was removed.

Judge Mander received more than 200 victim impact statements as well as statements from the Muslim Association of Canterbury, the Islamic Women's Council of New Zealand, the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand, Cashmere High School and the Canterbury Interfaith Society. Crowds gathered outside the court on the day of sentencing in support of the victims of the attack and their families.

Tarrant had originally pleaded not guilty to charges of terrorism, murder and attempted murder. In March, he abruptly changed his plea to guilty.

The attack sent New Zealand – a country where crime rates are low and mass shootings rare – into shock and mourning. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern responded by banning semi-automatic weapons and implementing a buyback program for gun owners.

"It gave me relief to know that that person will never see the light of day," Ardern told Radio New Zealand after the sentencing. Addressing the country's Muslim population, she acknowledged that "nothing will take the pain away," but hoped they "felt the arms of New Zealand around you through this whole process, and I hope you continue to feel that through all the days that follow."

Jacinta Arden is trying to return him to Australia so the NZ taxpayer doesn't have to keep him alive.

I am confident he will remain in New Zealand. There is strong public opinion that he should do and will do. Jacinda accepts that. In any event, NZ has no agreement with OZ that would enable his return. He will stay here until he dies, and it would not surprise me if he somehow manages to end his own life. He planned everything meticulously and may have planned suicide well in advance of being sentenced. Do Aussies want him returned? The families of the murdered have made it adamantly clear that they want him to serve his sentence here, and Jacinda accepts their view.

He apparently made multiple requests to give a speech to media the after his sentence. His request was denied and mercifully he won't be spreading his manifesto.
