Probably not, I suspect (as with the 95% of climate scientists) that all these eminent psychiatrists can't all be crazy...

I'm beginning to understand why TDS may be real, and I'm actually starting to feel some sympathy toward Donald J. Trump -- not enough to laud and hail him as "Hero & Savior", but maybe enough to vote for him if an election was held today.

Sometimes it seems that when a person is hated, the people who hate him see nothing good or beneficial about anything he says or does, even if what he says or does is irrelevant to the interests of those people. Sometimes, even the most innocuous of things said or done can be twisted, exaggerated, and distorted well beyond any semblance of truth just to fuel the anger of those people against that one person.

If the term "Trump Derangement Syndrome" inaccurately labels this phenomenon, then what is an accurate label?

Though I've never seen anything like it in politics with one person in a negative way it's very similar to how people worship someone and will support whatever they do. It happens to a degree with Trump but more with Bernie Sanders or the Democratic Party. It is also very similar to the 'Brexit' situation in the UK where people throw away all logic and reason to stick by their cult's side. Very dangerous.

Some of us on this site have had to deal with being called "Trump fanatics/Trumpians/Trump lovers" etc just for even questioning the Russiagate fiasco.

Maybe some people take their hatred of Trump too far because of the propoganda pushed on us by CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, but can you really blame them?

If Trump wasn't being such a dick on twitter and encouraging his supporters to be dicks towards anybody who criticizes his policies we would not have all this tension. The turmoil in this country is his fualt.

A good leader unites has people together. Trump has done the very opposite of that.

He's been accused of being a traitor who's working for the Russian government from before he was elected. The media have focused on him the same way they focused on Michael Jackson, Princess Diana or Britney Spears. No wonder he's flirting with insanity.

This is why you don't get Hollywood celebrities to run your country.

Nope. It's why you don't try to have a Bush on one side and a Clinton on the other by cheating and corruption. It's why you don't put some fraud up who's selling 'hope and change' and produces the polar opposite for 8 years when you had Ron Paul running against him. Tough luck.

I honestly believe Donald is trying to do a good job. His demeanor was never a secret, so I don't find myself all that shocked by it. He's an elderly hard boiled NY businessman who had zero experience in a political office. If he had been a governor are whatever for a few years prior maybe he would be more polished by now.

Your buddy has no loyalty.

Rex Tillotson was a rather fanatical Trump advocate. But Tillotson and Trump disagreed on a few points of foreign policy----so he canned him via Twitter.

He's always throwing staunch supporters under the bus when they disagree with him in the slightest. Then he tweets about them.
