I've got to figure that the MAGA hat crowd ought to be more respectful towards everyone else who lives here if they're so serious about making it a great place.

The way I see it, people only support divisive, ambiguous political slogans because they're itching for a fight.

If you would read what I wrote previously, I am more on the side of the MAGA guy than the sword guy.

My older brother is a Trumpite—lock, stock and barrel. He doesn’t wear a MAGA hat.

From what I see, all Trump supporters actually undestand Trump is only against illegal immigration, it's left wing individuals that keep insisting he is against immigration in general, seems they love to leave out the illegal part of the equation and confuse people by suggesting Trump supporters don't want immigrants in this country. The majority of people in this country are immigrants, everyone is aware of that and no one is suggesting immigrants shouldn't be able to come here. People are doing weird things like insisting phrases like 'make america great again' is somehow divisive , in reality, it's only some left wing individuals making it divisive, in reality, these people are the divisive ones. They seem to straight up hate people for their political views and for supporting Trump, mostly the arguments used are false claims spread by left wing journalists and media, then repeated over and over by some left wing people even after such claims have been proven to be false. That's the reason it frustrates me, if people want to criticize Trump they could just stick to criticizing things he has actually done rather than constantly repeating false claims.

I see it as a very insane thing, make america great again is divisive, what are these people suggesting? Should our goal be to continue to make america a horrible place to live??

Trump could make an open statement saying he loves all people, then the next day left wing journalists would write an article saying Trump said he only loves white people.

A return to mid-1950s America, when men ruled the family, women did all the household chores, girls were chaste, and boys grew up to be men. Watch any family sitcom from the late 1950s to see the kind of traditional families I mean.

Really, any journalist looking to make a name for himself/herself need only twist the meanings of a few words, and they'll make any politician or celebrity seem like the devil's own fool no matter what.

I'm as sick of the journalists as I am of the celebrities and the politicians; I'm as sick of the liberal left as I am of the Republican right; Social Justice Warriors AND White Nationalists can all go to Hell; and the religionists should sit down and actually read what their 'holy' books say, instead of making it up as they go along.

I find MAGA to be just as offensive as limousine liberal hypocrisy. As if Trump is the only reason for patriotism.

Patriotism is not what Trump is selling, it's Nationalism. White Nationalism, to be correct.

I have no issues with becoming "great", but that definition of America ignores history & all prior achievements. Trump wants credit for absolutely everything & routinely confers it on himself.

And yeah, he's extremely racist. I don't care how many times he denied it, he put immigrant kids in cages. I don't really care how awesome you think he is for the U.S. - the white house is a fascist dumpster fire right now.

That's exactly what I'm talking about, that is what mostly how left-wing individuals interpret 'MAGA', just as they put a racist spin on every idea they oppose. I haven't heard any Trump supporter suggest that's what MAGA means. Dramatic people always aim for insisting it's a race thing. Who exactly is suggesting that women's rights should be striped?? Left wingers are the people saying that's what MAGA means, most trump supporters see it as reducing taxes increasing wages and actually exporting, which is exactly what Trump has done, not one policy Trump has made takes rights away from women. And to be honest, people should be allowed to do as they wish, one can simply look at the split of 2 parent homes and see that as single parents rise in percentage, their children's success rates lower in percentage. That can be observed in all races, blacks at 70% single parent homes, whites at 25% single parent homes. Bad culture is spreading and having a horrible impact on success rates,m people like to blame everything on something else and neglect the fact that bad parenting and bad culture(no matter what race) is causing lower success rates.

We are in the age of, trying to improve your country or take pride in its 'advancements, not it's history' is an evil thing. Once again, as if what should be done is everyone saying our country sucks, we should abolish it, hate it, and people shouldn't come here because its a horrible place.....yet there are millions of people waiting in line to come here(that aren't white), obviously they see something in america that the people living here can't, or some of them anyway. It's not a negative thing to desire your country to grow for the better, we have the most diverse country on this planet, a country where all you have to do is do a good job 'in school' as you grow up and you will have success. Asian people are proving this while everyone else is complaining about everything and doing a horrible job raising their kids then saying they aren't successful because of systemic racism. If that is true, then why do all over achievers, even in public schools, become successful regardless of race?

Another thing affecting the middle class kids is taking on huge debt to get a degree in something that will not even help them get a job, simply because of their deep left wing beliefs, like let me get a $40,000 loan so I can major in gender study, then go work for a bar or restaurant and complain about low wages because I wasn't smart enough to get a degree I can actually use to make money.

I guess MAGA is all about ignoring current events & political subtext. Sure, if you subtract the treatment of human beings like livestock, the unconstitutional religious travel bans, half or more of the executive staff being fired, the Moscow hotel, the tax records, Trump's dead NYC apartment tennant & then some, then I guess you must be fine with Trump.

Please stop telling us what we should appreciate. WP has become a neo-conservative republican echo chamber lately.

I'm just pointing out the obvious, you a free to feel as you wish. Just like your assumption that a handful of conservatives = "conservative echo chamber". If anything it's a liberal echo chamber, as the majority of comments are liberal Trump delusion. Anything negative anyone does is labeled as Trump's fault, he did not make an order to separate children from parents. He did not ask for more people than they could even handle to crowd our borders. The separation in holding facilities was because 'they didn't want to put children in the same place as adults so they can be sexually abused', funny how that part always gets looked over. They also over-look that women at the border have been getting raped by their fellow border squatters. The fact is, we wouldn't have to detain 'anybody' if people weren't illegally crossing the border.

You are free to believe and say what you want, just as I am free to correct the lies being spread.

All the political threads I've seen in months on here have been casting Trump in an infallible light. If what you're saying is so obvious, what's stopping Trump from stating his own rationalizations?

I don't trust it.

You can't be an adequate president whilst only leading half the country by choice. You can't apply executive orders to a single ethnicity & not be racist. Either Trump is a president for EVERYONE or he's just in it for himself.

I do not know of one president which even the majority of people liked, could you please point out the president that all people voted for and approved of? Also, I'm doing a Poll in PPR to kill the idea that WP is a conservative echo chamber. How do you see 2 people liking Trump as every thread contains people who like Trump, the overwhelming majority of people at WP hate Trump, I've only seen one person other than me that like Trump and I'm not even sure he actually likes Trump, I just know he is going to vote for Trump. If I were to do a poll on people who like Trump here, I'm willing to bet over 80% of them say no.

I didn't say we all had to like the president, only that the president should act in the interest of everyone in the country & not just the plutocracy. Nobody ever likes those with authority over them, at least not those of us who know what's good for us.

All Republicans are playing the role of JarJar lately.

Every president typically do what they think will benefit the country, ideally anyway. Trump is the only president I have actually like in my existence, it has way more to do with the things he has actually accomplished. Mostly what I like is he understands when need to be strong exporters, something all previous presidents have completely ignored as if it doesn't matter. Then the flip-flop people are doing on illegal immigration, republicans used to be they one's that were for illegal immigration because they can extort illegals for cheap labor(a horrible thing to do), now, simply because Trump wants help reduce illegal immigration, both republicans and democrats are fighting him every step of the way. Obama did way more to separate families and deport illegal than trump, in fact, compared to Obama, Trump is an under-achiever. People are becoming so radicalized on immigration and Trump that they were spreading pictures from 2014 of children in cages which was actually under Obama's presidency. Obama attacked illegal immigration way harder than Trump is, so why was it no problem when Obama did it yet now it makes you a horrible person to think all citizens should be documented and that people should not be able to jump in front of people trying to enter the legal way, the right way, by just illegally crossing the border?? It seems more like people just want to hold the opposite opinion of Trump so they can complain about him, never find the fact that what he is doing is helping the economy, which is actually gaining him more support, even among minorities.

Yeah, I don't really subscribe to the "papers please" mentality. Bureaucracy is just as much a delusion as nationalism. People cross borders illegally because we're all on the same planet & they are going somewhere. Tar & feathering refugees as if they're psychopathic gangsters is RACIST.

For the record I loathed Obama too. There are no honest politicians.

Once again you are conflating illegal immigrants and refugees, we legally accept refugees into our country, we accept pretty much anyone that will benefit the country and in some cases people who will not benefit the country but we accept them to allow them to escape violent countries. A country without borders is not a country. We have a welfare system to help those in need that are American citizens. If you take in all the poor from all over the world there is no way you will sustain your country, a system where the majority of people are on welfare is not a system that will sustain itself. Even socialist Sanders admits that, you can't have a welfare system and open borders. There is a reason governments exist, without them you end up with pure chaos in which people will always be in war with eachother and trying to conquer land. We pay taxes to help with things we need, it's quite unfair to tax paying citizens to spend their money to support people who don't pay taxes because they aren't supposed to be here. You are also claiming that deporting people who broke the law by entering a country illegally is tar & feathering illegals and racist, that's a mighty extreme and incorrect analysis.

Basically, you seem to be for no government, complete chaos, death and destruction under the assumption that people will just be nice to eachother, sing and dance together. Reality proves otherwise, we need government to do the best we can to prevent chaos. Anarchy doesn’t work.
