We used to have this thing called the Divine Right of kings... which more or less meant that if you harm or depose a king you're offending God... that's very convenient if you happen to be the king. Try reading Shakespeare's "Richard II" for more on that one.

Still plenty of people in the UK who believe the Queen never farts.

Do you think if the monarchy continues long enough for William to become king, a lot of that will be done away with?

Most people in the UK now have never known any other monarch than the current Queen. There is no doubt that she has behaved herself, upset very few people and done the full "duty" thing without frightenening the horses. When she dies it will definitely leave quite a vacuum. Charles is not universally liked. He's been outspoken at times and some people will never forgive the Diana thing. He's trying to say now that with mantle of kingship he will adopt a different more kingly persona... maybe he will.
William, on the other hand, hasn't been around long enough to f*** up. Who knows how he will turn out?

It seems likely that the ways of the monarchy will change with the demise of Elizabeth. Things move on and it will be truly interesting to see how things turn out.

I'm an anti-monarchist, but I'm also interested in history. This is future history in the making.

That is if she actually ever dies. Same with Philip lol. There could be at least 7 more years of QEII if she has her mother's longevity, which seems likely.

It will also be interesting to see how the media (well... the BBC really) reacts when she dies... even if it is in 1,000 years. Will we have three days of solemn music and all comedy shows cancelled? At least I can now watch box sets via the internet now, but I'm rather hoping I'm out of the country when it happens.

Trashy leftists protesting Trump trash London, leaving their trash for low-wage city workers to clean up.

Just like the trashy "Occupy"-ers who trashed New York and other US cities, leaving their human waste and filth for low-wage workers to clean up.

Why isn't liberals overall portrayal of Mexicans being that they equate them with the most menial forms of labor not considered racist?

When people talk about illegal Mexican immigrants taking jobs away the liberal reply is basically that they only exist to perform the lowest of menial labor.

"Don't worry wh***y he's a Mexican which means he'll only be doing jobs that would make you gag cause you know... Mexican".
