Todd Palin has filed for divorce from Sarah Palin after 31 years of marriage.

He cites incompatibility of temperament in his marriage to Sarah.

Thirty-one years is a long time to be married to someone before you realize "we aren't compatible."

That's what the horrible disease called children causes.

I don't know. More likely than not, they had stuck it out because they had children. The truth is, Palin and her children have been behaving like ignorant trash and were probably a source of unbearable shame for Todd.

Children can do either thing: hold a shakey marriage together, or embarrass you. Could be either thing.

During the 16 campaign she conspicuously latched her wagon to the Trump train. And she and Trump are far more compatible ideologically than she ever was with McCain. So I was sure that she would end up on Trump's cabinet, or in some role in his administration like that.

But I guess Trump only picks from his trusted inner circle of private sector New York cronies. He would never pick anyone with even Palin's modest government experience to ...do anything that has to do with running the government!

So you just abruptly stopped hearing about Palin after 16. Until now with this sad news.

Too bad. Back in 16 I was looking forward to seeing Tina Fey reprise her role as Palin.

Usually when a comedian exploits a public figure the comedian's career ends when the public figure's career ends. Vaughn Meader with JFK, and David Frye with Richard Nixon are both good examples. But Fey manages to benefit from rises in Palin's career, without being hurt by dips in Palin's career. Nice work. If Pence were to run for Potus and win (or take over if Trump gets outright removed via impeachment) then Palin might well get a cabinet post. THEN we would get see Fey do Palin again on SNL.

It only goes to show how patient he was -- it took 31 years of her behavior to finally drive him away.  I guess he finally had to admit that "Enough is Enough".

Who knows?  This may be just the thing that gets Ms. Fey to reprise the role on SNL.
