The husband of Christa Leigh Steele-Knudslien thursday pleaded guilty to stabbing and beating the 42 year old transgender activist to death in there North Adams(I live in North Adams) home two years ago.

Mark Steele Knudslien,49,changed his plea to gulity of 2nd degree murder and Judge John Agostini sentenced him to 25 years to life in prison.

Christa Steele-Knudslien was well known in western Mass for her activism in the transgendered community and was the founder of the Miss trans America beauty pageant.

The couple had been married since april of 2017,police found out about the crime when Mark walked into the police station and told police he had done something wrong.

Did you see the crime scene first hand?

No not at all,I am not sure even what street they lived on,I don't believe the address was ever reported.The crime happened two years ago,they may have said the street name in the first news report but I may have forgotten,there are a lot of streets,it's a small city but a city none the less.

There was an armed robbery a few weeks ago,they said a gas station on rt.8 but didn't say which of many gas stations on rt.8 it was.
