Jogger shot in Georgia for being Black

Two months after a black jogger was hunted down and shot dead in the street by two white men in a small US town, no charges have been filed.

The two white shooters (father and son) said, 'He's a black man running down our road,'" Mr Merritt said.
Gregory McMichael told the police afterwards that he saw Mr Arbery "hauling ass down the street", and believed him to be the suspect in a local break-in.
He went inside to fetch his son and other man, Brian Williams, and they chased after him in their ute, armed with a shotgun and a .357 Magnum.They told police they wanted to conduct a citizen's arrest, in spite of them not seeing a crime being committed.

At least they fired the officer involved in the Garner case. The Georgia boys are still roaming around "huntin" black folk :roll:

One of the shooters is an ex cop. That alone explains why neither father nor son have yet been arrested.

So the news of the break-in was out in the community already, and this is the first thing that comes to mind when they see some dude running? Exactly how long did they suppose he'd been running for?

Well, I'm pretty sure that the color of his skin added to the other information was a prime reason for his murder.

Gregory, 64, and Travis, 34, were both charged with murder and aggravated assault. The men were taken into custody and will be booked into the Glynn County Jail, the bureau said.
