Not surprising, either. Also not all that surprising that it’s more mature adults tripping than young people - those in my age range and a bit older have had to deal with a lot more BS the last couple decades than younger folks so I can totally see why relaxing escapism in search of answers is more appealing to them.

Now if only republicans would get on board.. or better yet, have them trip on mushrooms to promote unity and oneness with each other, nature, and the universe.

I guess so. Psychedelic use may be up here - hard to say for sure, but there’s been a lot of people with a lot of free time soooo probably.

And I’m not sure if other drug use is significantly up Or if just unsafe use is up due to addicts using alone, but we have just had a couple of record months in a row of drug overdose deaths in BC. (Probably mostly due to fentanyl, the rest meth/coke)

We’ve had 189 covid deaths total, but in May 171 people died from drug overdoses and 175 in June.

All of those people should have been on the LSD/mushroom/psychedelic train instead. Way more likely they’d be alive today. Heck, psychedelics are sometimes used to break other drug addictions.

On a related note, here in Colorado, USA, the state recorded it’s largest monthly marijuana sales to date in the month of April when lockdown happened. Almost twice the amount sold as April 2019 too.

I don’t have stats but 100% guaranteed weed smoking is up here along with lsd and alcohol and other drugs.

I’m guessing mdma and cocaine use is probably way down, especially mdma.
