my conjecture, is that china will not waste actual ground troops on a war with down under, but will unleash other things just as if not more destructive over the long-term. if i were china, i'd recruit every ace hacker it can beg borrow and steal.

Australia will face 'collateral attacks' if war breaks out between China and the US
16/05/2021|9min

Liberal Senator Jim Molan says if a war between China and the United States does break out, Australia will be subject to "collateral attacks from China directly".

"Probably by missile, by cyber, by blockade," Mr Molan told Sky News.

"That is a given".

"It's what happens after those first clashes in the war between China and the United States that worry me more".

"You see, the United States is not convinced that it can win this war".

"And if it gets pushed out of the Pacific, what do we do then?"

Molan is talking out of his backside, China won't attack Australia because they own 50% of the real-estate in major capital cities. Doubt they will damage their own assets

typical capitalists, when faced with certain annihilation, will bid against one another for exclusive hangman's noose rights.

No.
China was heading towards Democracy before Xi.
Back then, Australia wasn't threatened by the ccp.
Things change. [shrug]

Australia must become ‘as powerful as possible as quickly as possible’ amid China’s rise
31/05/2021|7min

Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce says we need to become “as powerful as possible as quickly as possible” with the rise of China.

“There’s one thing in front of us for this nation,” Mr Joyce told Sky News host Alan Jones.

“It’s not COVID, and it is not climate change, it is to become as powerful as possible as quickly as possible.

“So that your children and your grandchildren can avail themselves with the freedoms and the liberties that you take for granted.

“We see the rise of China, we know what’s happening.”
