Good - I'm glad he was indicted. If you read the details of that event, it was brutal. Hitting someone in the head with a police flashlight might as well be a billy club. And kneeling on the neck, well that was Chauvin's signature move. Forever after, it will be called "the Chauvin" when someone does that.

This guy definitely needed to be off the streets!

I wonder how many other violent cops could be stopped before they murder someone if their non-lethal incidents of brutality were taken seriously.

Well things are changing, that's for sure. Body cams have a lot to do with it.

I feel like cellphones are playing a bigger deal than bodycams. Police bodycams seem to mysteriously turn off just before the brutality begins.

Not by the DoJ. It hadn't come to their attention and they're entitled to investigate/bring charges separate from how his employer handled the case at the time.
