QAnon Believers Flock to Dallas for the Return of JFK Jr.

Fans of early-1990s tabloid culture, rejoice: John F. Kennedy Jr. is set to return. The lush-haired scion and former George publisher is set to make an appearance at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, where his father was assassinated in 1963, for a special announcement this afternoon. The fact that the former People Sexiest Man Alive has been dead for more than two decades is of no consequence.

This is the belief set forth by proponents of the QAnon conspiracy theory, which postulates that Donald Trump is lying in wait to destroy a secret cabal of blood-drinking, child-sex-trafficking members of the liberal elite. Dozens of QAnon supporters started gathering in AT&T Discovery Plaza in downtown Dallas last night to commemorate the glorious return of JFK Jr. — a man who, again, it must be emphasized, has failed to convert oxygen into carbon dioxide since 1999.

Trump reinstated as 19th president calls up a new vice president, JFK Junior” wrote a prominent QAnon influencer with more than 250,000 followers on the encrypted messaging app Telegram. The influencer added that Trump’s reinstatement stems from the fact that “everything from 1871 was illegal and unconstitutional,” a reference to a convoluted far-right conspiracy theory aimed at invalidating Biden’s presidency by suggesting that an obscure law from the late-19th century renders every law passed and president elected since then as illegitimate. “Trump will step down. John will become President,” the post reads, adding that disgraced former general and QAnon celebrity Michael Flynn will become his vice president. The feverish fantasy concludes by claiming that Trump will become “1 of the 7 new Kings. Most likely the King of Kings,” a reference to a biblical passage in Revelations 17.

The renaissance of JFK Jr. is an increasingly popular cornerstone of the QAnon conspiracy theory, though it has historically been something of a fringe belief in the movement. The theory postulates that JFK Jr. has been in hiding for years and will eventually reveal himself as Trump’s running mate for the 2024 election, a belief that stems from a poster claiming to be JFK Jr. who contributed to an 8chan thread in 2018. Some proponents of the theory also believe that Vincent Fusca, a former sales manager in Pittsburgh, is secretly JFK Jr. in disguise, despite the fact that Fusca is inches shorter (and honestly, considerably less good-looking) than John F. Kennedy Jr. QAnon influencer Juan O. Savin has also been “suspected” to be JFK Jr. in “disguise.”

In recent months (and particularly in the wake of Trump’s defeat in November 2020, when QAnon leaders have been scrambling to maintain their relevancy), some prominent QAnon influencers have expanded on this lore, most notably Michael Brian Protzman, who also runs a popular Telegram channel. Protzman, who is based in Washington state and runs a demolition company, relies on an abstruse version of gematria, or numerology, to promote the idea that he is in direct contact with the Kennedy family (which he believes are direct descendants of Jesus Christ), and that they will make their triumphant return on Tuesday.

Wait, what?

Neither John F. Kennedy, Jr. nor his father attended a Dallas rally held by QAnon supporters hoping the deceased Democrats would restore Donald Trump as president.

Ben Collins, who reports on online extremism for NBC News, was surprised by the turnout at the rally.

"This 'JFK Jr. is coming back to be Vice President today at Dealey Plaza, because of the Julian calendar' thing was spawned of a handful of Q Telegram accounts with numbers in their names," he explained. "I can't believe how many people have showed up. Even most Q people think this is nuts."

JFK, Jr. apparently wasn't the only celebrity QAnon supporters hoped would return today.

"The QAnon people are walking up to random people they think are dead celebrities in Dallas today and introducing themselves. So far they have seen 'Robin Williams' and 'Dale Earnhardt.' They now think JFK Jr. will reveal himself at a Rolling Stones concert tonight," Collins reported.

Fans of the QAnon movement regrouped on Tuesday after John F. Kennedy Jr. did not show up at Dealey Plaza in Dallas as they had expected.

The QAnon believers began gathering in Dealey Plaza on Monday evening. People on the scene said that they expected the former president's dead son to reveal himself Tuesday at 12:29 p.m. to reinstate Donald J. Trump as president.

But when JFK Jr. failed to show himself on Tuesday afternoon, the word quickly spread that his reemergence would take place at a Rolling Stones concert in Dallas later in the evening.

One QAnon believer explained on a live stream that many dead celebrities were expected to turn up on Tuesday.

"They said dead people would be walking around," the woman said. "I've been looking for people. Somebody said yesterday they think they saw Dale Earnhardt. We think we saw Robin Williams. Thoroughly excited."

"There's going to be even more tonight it sounds like too," she added. "At the Rolling Stones concert."

One person who was interviewed was reportedly "convinced" that Mick Jagger would bring JFK Jr. on stage. Another believer said that the dead celebrity would be opening the concert for the Stones.

Guys, this was obviously a false-flag intended to make QAnons look foolish and easily mislead. Only free thinkers understand the 43 dimensional chess Q is playing along with JFK Jr., Trump, Jesus, Charlemagne and Abraham Lincoln to bust the shape-shifting reptilian pedophile aliens who harvest our children's adrenochrome for their orgies.

Reads to me like a play to broaden their base, given that these are not exactly conservative heroes.

This flyer, around 5,000 copies of which were distributed around Dallas in the days before President Kennedy’s November 22, 1963 visit, accused Kennedy of a range of offenses, from being “lax” on Communism, to “appointing anti-Christians to Federal office,” to lying to the American people about his personal life.

General Edwin A. Walker, a Texan who served in World War II and the Korean War, had resigned his Army post in 1961 after a Kennedy-ordered investigation found that he had violated the Hatch Act, which prohibits federal employees from engaging in political activity on the job, by distributing John Birch Society literature to his troops. Walker moved to Dallas and became a leader of right-wing activity in the city (more on the full range of that activity here). The ex-General led resistance to James Meredith’s 1962 enrollment at the University of Mississippi and unsuccessfully ran for the position of Texas governor.

After the assassination, Walker’s organization was briefly under suspicion, and the Warren Commission investigation tracked these flyers to Walker’s aide Robert Surrey. Surrey had overseen the distribution of the sheets in the days prior to JFK’s arrival; members of Walker’s organization, acting on his behalf, placed them under windshield wipers and in newspaper racks.

Walker’s group was exonerated of involvement with the assassination, but the Warren Commission did turn up a bizarre coincidence. On April 10, 1963, Walker was sitting at his desk in his home study when a bullet fired from outside the house narrowly missed his head. According to Marina Oswald’s testimony, which the Commission found convincing, Lee Harvey Oswald had carefully planned and executed this attempted murder, months before his November assassination of the President.
