Not really.

Just his modern American near-namesake.

The rapper Biz Markie, at age 57. Cant find the cause stated anywhere.

We will miss his humor. We all could use some of it now.

His biggest hit was...probably the most UN romantic love song ever recorded (at least since Spike Jones' "Cocktails for Two"):

Well that's disappointing. :(

Yep.

The Biz finally sleeps.

But while he was awake ...he was so bad that he was good!

I'd say he's just a friend.

You had me wound up for a minute, there. Germany does not need any more bad news after the flooding.

Are there people who believe that Angela Merkel is an "Iron Chancellor"?

Otto Van Bismark was called "the Iron Chancellor" while he did his thing, of engineering German unification back in the late Nineteenth Century.

But no one since him has been given that moniker AFAIK.

So no... you need not worry that Germany is loosing any current politician from seeing my title here.

But maybe I shoulda used another title...like "The Biz Finally Sleeps" to avoid confusion.

The American rapper did sport a German spiked helmet on the cover of one of his albums though.

In some ways, Otto Von Bismarck-----especially when compared with other later German leaders-----seems strong and virtuous.

I shudder slightly when I consider what sort of damage Bismarck could have done to the Allied cause during WW II. We are fortunate that Hitler and his gang, ultimately, turned out to be knuckleheads.

Needs more hip-hop and less irrelevant German politicians.

Bismarck would have held Hitler and the Nazis in utter contempt, and wouldn't have had anything to do with them.
