Yes. They can now "dig" up whole cities without having to push a single shovel full of dirt.

Not sure if this a "recent" discovery?

National Geographic ran this story back in 2018 based on new mesoamerican structures discovered using LIDAR?

Plenty of structures are being discovered with this technique and Mesoamerica is full of them, so it's most likely these are genuinely new ones.
