If you were struck by lightning, survived, and then were struck by lightning again, precisely 27 years later, and survived again, would you think toward a supernatural cause? Personally, I think it'd get my attention!

I'd be wondering what the significance of the number 27 was. Isn't there a Jim Carey movie about #23?

I think it best that both these individuals stay indoors.

But doesn't it save on haircuts? I saw that record holder interviewed -- he was burnt-bald at the time.

Here we go:
Quote:
The record holder, however, is Roy C. Sullivan, an ex-park ranger who survived seven different lightning strikes. According to the Guinness Book of Records, Sullivan was first hit by lightning in 1942, which caused him to lose his big toenail. Over the next 35 years, lightning burned off Sullivan's eyebrows, seared his left shoulders, set his hair on fire, struck his legs, injured his ankle, and burned his stomach and chest.

The only thing significant about 27 is that it's the third cube number.

Wow.
27 years to the exact day?
This guy must have a lucky streak of some sort.

Not enough to make me "get religion", but I might start readin' up on lightning science!

What if he got struck a third time, 27 years to the exact day of the second time?

Evidence is a continuum. Along it, each person has his/her own thresholds of belief and assent.

Was he standing in the exact spot as he was 27 years earlier? If not, still proves the theory about never being struck twice....

Still a lucky bugger; hope he took out a Tatts ticket.

Yeah, lightning is one of those things that seems random but its easier to get hit by lightning then win the lottery or meet the President. Basically, Stand in high place + open place = kentucky fried human

Obviously he wasn't in his car either, 'cause that's apparently the safest place.
