Ivermectin does not reduce risk of hospitalization for COVID-19.

According to a large study published Wednesday in The New England Journal of Medicine, the antiparasitic drug ivermectin did not reduce the risk of being hospitalized with COVID-19.  In the study, researchers compared more than 1,300 patients, some given ivermectin and others given a placebo, and found no difference between the groups.  In this randomized trial, the administration of ivermectin did not result in a lower incidence of medical admission to a hospital or prolonged emergency department observation for Covid-19 among outpatients at high risk for serious illness.

My former unvaccinated sister-in-law and her husband caught Covid and went with ivermectin.
She developed Epstein-Barr shortly after and had a stroke. Now it looks like she has long Covid , but they still think ivermectin cured them.

The Ivermectin crowd followed cues from their cult leader and just called everything that contradicts their fantasies as "fake",

The ivermectin issue hasn't been resolved.
There are papers/research from reputable sources that are for and against the product.
Keep in mind, that politics insinuates itself in virtually all aspects of life. 8)

I've noticed how the right, with anti-scientific bias, has inserted itself into the pro-ivermectin, anti-vaccine stance.

It takes all kinds.
You get clowns on either side of the political divide. :clown:

But I think you missed the part where I said there are some "reputable* sources. ;)

I am honoured. <*no* sarcasm>

I have always appreciated your desire for validation.
I am the same.

The irony is, I was punished when I quoted you about this.

Well, the source was reliable people from Sky News, but that was a while ago.
I'm not into doing the hard yakka research these days, since people who disagree will simply dismiss it.

My position will be weakened if I don't supply a link.
I accept this. ;)

If I have the mental energy, I might try to dig something up. 8)

Even tinfoil hat wearing loons, and con men will call themselves reputable, though.

The fact that they even had to do a study about this is proof that humanity is doomed.
