Reminds me of two seperate little tidbits I read in magazines years ago.

Someone reported that an intruder had forced the window and had broken into their house, and "made my bed", and the left.

Another time I read that a lady ( a Karen type maybe) reported to the police that an intruder had entered her house and made her bed. And she knew it because the "the person made butterfly corners, and I NEVER make butterfly corners with the sheets when I make a bed!". :lol:
======================

The lawn mower thief may have wanted the victim's neighbors to think that he was hired by the vic to mow is his lawn- so as to not arouse suspicion among the neighbors. Maybe.

I'd let him have my mower if he mowed my lawn and the grass never grew ever again.

In all seriousness, I bet he felt a little guilty for burglarizing the person's house.

Unless he's a nut who wants everything clean to his liking.....

He probably mowed the lawn first as a way of making it easier to steal the mower, like looking like he's doing a good deed then run off with the mower.

Because the victims will feel conflicted by the relief of the lawn being mode, and having something nice done for them. Their indignation will clash with a reflect to reciprocate a kind gesture. It's just a way to manipulate them and make the thief seem like a decent person.

Would be funny if he left the mower running and walked with it mowing a path all the way to his house

Sounds like kleptomania coupled with OCD. Or maybe he was trying to balance out karma.

Edit: I see from the poll auntblabby already considered the karma idea. Great minds...
