Actor Fred Ward has passed away at age 79. He will be missed.
I best remember him in Cast A Deadly Spell, where he plays Lovecraft, who is a private detective rather than a writer, in an alternate world where magic works.

I remember him mostly from Naked Gun 33 1/3.

With his death, all of the Naked Gun villains are now gone.
