14 students, 1 teacher dead in elementary school shooting.

Multiple people are dead, including several children, after an "active shooter" incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, law enforcement sources.  Additionally, 13 students were being treated in the Uvalde Memorial Hospital's emergency department in the wake of the incident. Two patients were transferred to San Antonio for treatment, while a third was pending transfer.  A 45-year-old was also hospitalized after getting grazed by a bullet

Your first post is meant to say 14 students "shot", not dead, right?

I thought it meant 14 children dead.

The school only teaches 2nd - 4th graders.

This is so tragic.

Though with the possible overturn of Roe, ironically, he may support a total gun ban if he suspects a mass revolt over that. He and DeSatan are both worse than Trump.

It's reminiscent of Sandy Hook.
He killed his grandmother first as well.

14 children, one teacher, and the gunman, are dead. For a total of 16 people.

I won't have sympathy until that f****d up country stops letting anyone own guns.

Suppose he's autistic like all the other killers.

Could be 17 dead as currently the deathtoll is 15 and a 66-year-old woman (shooter's grandmother) and 10-year-old girl are in critical condition at University Health, the hospital said late Tuesday.

The gunman is an 18-year-old male. Abbott said the shooter had a handgun and possibly a rifle.
He is reportedly a student at Uvalde High School and believed to have shot his grandmother before he went to Robb Elementary School, according to KSAT.

Police to Give Update Soon
Uvalde Police will soon hold a press conference at the city's civic center. Uvalde Police Sgt. Willie Deleon will provide an update on the shooting at 5 p.m. CT.

This almost follows the Sandy Hook shooting....I really hope this isn't another Adam Lanza

A lot of conflicting news reports about the death toll - one report is 16 confirmed dead and 2 on critical so the final death toll could be as high as 18

The grandmother's condition is unknown at this point.

Of course, this is a "breaking news story," so there will be many revisions.

One consistent factor in most mass shootings is the killer is usually a teenager or close to it. I fully expected what I read; "The suspect was an 18-year-old male". So what's causing these kids to go on shooting sprees? Other info makes this look very similar to Sandy Hook. Tragic doesn't begin to describe it. I wonder if like others he exhibited warning signs and or left warning messages.

This isn't surprising at all.

But anyway, IMO, it also would not surprising if people who want less strict gun laws
see this shooting as a reason to increase support for another insurrection.

This is just another tragedy that could have been prevented.
