I feel like there are people from other countries who haven’t been to the US—but feel they can generalize about Americans.

I am aware that not all Australians are bogans. And not all speak with the Crocodile Dundee accent. And I know they hate it when people think they drink Fosters.

I should totally start butting into every thread on the board spouting offensive stereotypes about Australians and insisting that they're all true and that I know Australia better than they do; I'm sure it would go over very well.

Especially so if you're throwing shrimp on the barb'e.. I like shrimp. 8)

I’m proud that the “experiment” that led to the founding of the United States has worked pretty darn well since 1776.

I am quite perturbed that Trump seems to desire to besmirch and undo much of the work that has been done by many great Americans over these 246 years.

I think I've said this before, but it bears repeating:

You could walk around the most far right conservative places in America wearing a rainbow flag suit, a f*ck Trump hat, and a ridin' with Biden sash and the most you'd get would be some snickering, while you couldn't get away with wearing a MAGA cap in a blue city for more than 20 minutes without being verbally if not physically attacked, and when they're not denying it the liberals will actually be proud of this, as if their intolerance is a virtue because they're so convinced of their own righteousness.

Where most of the MAGA hats were concentrated.

You know an attempted coup is serious when the plotters stop in the middle of the action to take selfies.

Not sure why you are equating bogans with MAGAs? The former tend to vote for the labour party and are working class/left wing.

How am I equating bogans with MAGAS?

All I was doing was making a point about stereotyping a whole nation.

Actually Australians are quite proud of their working class/cockney roots where most of our settlers hailed escaping from from the gritty streets of major cities in Britain. Bogans are essentially descended from this urban British cockney culture. Paul Hogan's crocodile dundee and Steve Irwin's character of the crocodile hunter is quite typical of rural bogans who are affectionately known as "larrikans" and "jackaroos".

If you want to insult an Aussie call us "British"
We call new migrants from England "Poms"

Apparently the latest excuse is that they aren't MAGAs, the term MAGA was invented by woke antifa types

No one actually calls themselves a MAGA, using the word is actually a shibboleth in the other direction.

It's an acronym for "make America great again", which is supposed to be a fascist idea, even though Biden has a "Build Back Better Plan" - which of course is the same idea using different words.

But you see, they're completely different things, because the Democrats are the good guys and the Republicans are the baddies.

It’s sort of an insult to America—haven’t we ALWAYS been great?
