Thats...even more newsworthy than the proverbial "man bites dog".

I guess that the child didnt know better (that a cobra's bite is deadly) and just did what comes naturally, and bit the snake in self defense, and the snake simply died of blood loss (without even the help of venom).

I think if the snake was tightly wrapped around my arm and I had nothing else to get it off me with I'd probably bite into it too.

The kid was quite fortunate it was a dry snakebite.
