Detroit comic book collection and baseball card collection
I thought I would share this story. It is a bit sad though. Seems a fellow Aspie collected rare comic books for fifty years. He was a successful attorney, so he had the means to support his interests. His ex-wife left him over “his hoarding” issues and his son resented him. There is over a million comic books in the collection. The collector recently died and now they both are hoping to cash in on his collections. They looked down on him in life and still after his death. There is the third highest graded Superman #1 in the collection. My guess is it would be worth between $3 to 5 million for that one book alone. He also collected early baseball cards. Total value of everything could be higher than an estimated $40-50 million.
