Well...Xi and Vlad had their summit. The topic never came up. At least not in public.

But the summit didnt amount to much anyway. China pledged to invest in Russia economically, but not to give them military aid.

AND...
the two issued a joint statement declaring that "nobody can win a nuclear war" which kinda undercuts all of Putins nuclear threats.

I'm surprised the CCP hasn't directly involved itself in providing military support.
I guess we can at least be thankful for that.

And consider:
Why would the CCP want to provoke a nuklear holocaust?
I have maintained for years that the CCP is in the process of overtaking the significance of the USA.
To become the dominant nation in the world.
The only thing that may push the boundaries is one man's ego wanting to leave a legacy in his lifetime.

And then there's still the Xi problem.

Colonial powers still playing the "great game" in Africa.
Except it's no longer Great Britain and France and Germany

Now it's China and Russia

Well...it's like that poet once wrote...that Chinese, Maoist, anti-imperialist, poet named Rudyard Kip Ling once wrote "take up the Yellow Man's burden..."

But seriously...you're exactly right. After WWII the Europeans nominally allowed their African colonies freedom, but they still pretty much treat their African colonies like property. France especially. According to Noam Chomsky after WWII the US expanded its sphere of influence to include east Asia, and Latin America, but allowed the western European powers "to keep Africa". But now both Russia and China and trying elbow their ways into Africa, and are getting into each other's ways.

You mean this/that:
"Belt and Road Initiative."
