In the future the ultimate weapon won't be the nuke. It'll be the EMP bomb, able to render an entire army incapable, without killing anyone (except those with pace makers).

We rely far too much on electronics.

And just after that point, the ultimate weapon will be the stick. Then some crazy megalomaniac will get a bigger stick.. then someone else will stick a NAIL in the stick.. and not long after that, we get back to the nukes again...

Powered armour is still WAY cool though.. Starship troopers ahoy! (Book not film...)

Looks like we get to play Halo in real life...*blargh!*

Or We get to be Roughneck Starship Troopers.

Or perhaps this is Red Alert?

Where do I get one of those bad boys?

Well if it saves all that physical training crap if there's ever a draft, I'm not complaining :)

There will always be physical training at boot camp. Physical activity would be hard to avoid for a soldier, with or without that exoskeleton.

You run out of power in one of those and you need to be able to fight (or if your enemy is in one, then RUN!! !)

I just want to know what it's like to wear one.
I mean, imagine... every physical effort you make is magnified by a factor of 4, at least! :o
It'd be so cool for a schoolkid to be able to wear one of these exoskeletons
while negotiating with a bully who's been picking on him!

"So, you want my lunch money?
How about this: Say you're sorry, and
I might let you walk away from me unharmed."

An underwater version would be neat too. "Shark, meet Captain Hook..."
