Wow, that's just weird.

They say he was caught, but by who? Seems he gave himself up.

I must be missing something here, because I don't understand how faking cancer is a way to hide a porn addiction. The two aren't connected in any rational way as far as I can tell. Wouldn't having cancer bring more attention to a person to where the person would find it even harder to have private moments to pursue hidden addictions?

Thats exactly what I was thinking. He may or may not have a porn addiction, but I think he really did it to get the money.

Well, In my opinion, pornography is a TOOL of Evil. . And the pastor from what I read seemed like a victim of it. . that seems to happen a lot in the church these days.. their biggest weakness is pedofilia or pornography.. because they arent the types to get that kind of.. action. Unless they create it for themself.. its just a sad misleading life.

hmm..in hindsight the bolded part is correct; at least logical. There's the "forbidden makes it stronger" and people who don't get any are more likely to fornicate with anything. Anyone seen 2 priests and a nun

If you've got a porn-addiction and are faking cancer, maybe you should forget about trying to be a pastor and focus on more urgent issues.

The problem is, almost anyone can become a pastor these days. All you need is a computer, Internrt access, and a credit card. And wall space on which to hang your worthless ordination certificate.

He was married, in fact he confessed to his wife a full 2 weeks before he went public. To the best of my knowledge this can only be said of the Catholic church, which the pastor in question was clearly not a member of.

However in the end it looks like he's trying to set things right. While his actions in the past were disturbing he must be allowed a chance to redeem himself and it appears he wants to do just that.

If he really had been a bona fide pastor before all this, it's gonna be difficult to come back after it. Will he be allowed to come back after this? I don't know.

You're using the subject of this thread as an example? He's hardly representative of all priests everywhere.
