I got diagnosed with many things around the same time. All of them neurological.

ADD
and a Audio Processing Disorder.
This all happened at age 11.

Not true, there are those who care about us and are doctors, and not all doctors are in medicine.

Here is a list of cool doctors.
Doctor Who
Dr.Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr.
Dr. Sheldon Cooper

Generalized anxiety disorder - August 2009 (age 15)

Social anxiety disorder - also August 2009

Asperger's - (unofficial diagnosis) Fall 2011 (age 17)

I don't necessarily believe that I don't have social anxiety, but it doesn't explain a lot of my symptoms/quirks/issues. Asperger's does. I'm not self-diagnosed; my therapist suggested AS and I plan to go for a psych evaluation sometime later this year.

Why is it that most of us have been (mis)diagnosed with some sort of anxiety disorder?

Possibly because of the negative (anti)social experiences that Asperger's so inevitably brings about?

Aspergers disorder; I was only diagnosed about two months ago.
And chronic depression, diagnosed a few months before that, though I've had it for a long time.

I got my Asperger's diagnosis in May, shortly after starting to see a shrink. I also have depression and a touch of social anxiety.
