OK, I'm 13 and I just saw an ad that says you can get paid for writing online, and you can make a six-figure income, etc, but then my friend told me it's a scam, so I was proper annoyed at that.

Anyway... how can you make lots of money when you're a teenager? I'm fed up of only getting £5 a week!!

Do nothing for free. Volunteer for nothing if there is no pay involved; and if "volunteered" by someone else, ask for compensation.

Immediate family, emergencies, and homework excepted.

Your stories and poems are very well written, I say you should try to get them published in papers/magazines! If you tell them you are 13 they will make a bigger deal out of it :P

Mowing lawns or babysitting or other chores?
I suppose it depends on how neighborly your community is.

Maybe collecting treasures from rubbish bins and selling on ebay?

Also, if you have one special interest and you get involved with it,
it might not require as much money. For example, if you liked horses,
then rather than saving up to buy a horse, you could do horse chores
for the people who do have horses, and perhaps regardless of how much or little
you get paid for that, you may have opportunity to enjoy horses for free,
instead of having to pay a lot for a similar experience. (totally random idea)

If you tell them you're 13, they'll laugh at you and tell you to go ask your parents for money. Besides, there's very little chance you'll get paid for publishing anything that way. Let's face it - it's the novelists who make the money, not the poets. But getting someone to publish you at all is a good start.

I've been trying to earn money lately as well.
You could sell old video games and consoles if you have them. Check out e-bay and sell anything you don't want. People will buy practically anything.

Try "GPT" Websites. These websites pay you to fill out surveys. (I just found that on wikihow.com)

Other than that you can do odd-jobs for relatives, like walking dogs or helping them tidy up.
If you're a talented writer then maybe you could search the net for writing competitions or something similar.

Oh and it's a good idea to collect and keep change. It takes a while but you can eventually exchange it for some cash.(Exchange change at banks as they do it free of charge).

Hope this helps. :D

My mom bought candy in Canada and slod it at her school for a profit.
I made flowers and sold them at school. (made about 20 dollars a day on 5 seprate occaisons for selling tissue-paper flowers for 25 cents each)

Pity that the school (my moms school and my school) changed the rules so that students couldnt sell things anymore.
