I had thought that the next one was on August 5th, but that is apperantly advertised as being for 23-33 year olds. The next one I can even think of is in October. It's f***ed up how long I'm being forced to wait.

What happens at those events? I don't know much at all about things like this.

You just get to talk to single women and everyone that is there writes down which people they’re interested in, and if two people wrote each other’s names down, there’s a match.

Seems a good idea. Maybe a few of you can get together and ask others to come so you can all hold your own event like that?

I did a couple DoorDash deliveries, but driving around being out in public is more harder now because I won’t meet anyone anytime soon. I had thought for a while that these dating events might give me that opportunity.

You're allowed to feel your feelings - whatever they are. Venting them at your parents is probably not a good idea though. Maybe your therapist can help you find other ways to express those feelings? It sucks to feel like you are ignored or that your feelings aren't important.

Tell the organizers of the August 5th event you’re 21. See what they say.

maybe I will, although as a guy, if I was the youngest one there that wouldn’t be a good thing. It would mostly be older women who are looking for men older than them.

I don't know what you speak to a therapist (and spoke to a psychologist) about, but have they ever discussed borderline personality disorder with you?

Well, after I googled that..... I actually agree with you about the BPD. Although the answer to your question is no.

I should be meeting single women right about now. It’s hard to do a whole lot besides sit in my room. Nothing seems right.

Give it time. Don't give up just because this or that isn't going right. Just because things aren't perfect doesn't mean there's no hope. It's normal for parents to not get it when you're an adult. And they may never. They might expect you to be a certain way but you don't know how. So the key is to just deal with them the way they are because they're just your parents. Maybe not hero's just your parents.

Anyway I'm not sure if Im helping. Couldn't you try online dating?

I get what you’re saying about the parents. I wish it was easier for me to just move out of the house.

Online dating; I tried that and nothing’s ever materialized. I could swipe right on 20 different women on Facebook dating and not one of them would respond.

So that’s two big dating resources that have turned out to not be what I first thought it was.
