I don’t think that would help with Joe’s problem.

Yea, you're right. Hope the problem sorts itself out Joe.

Yes, they do, I've heard that. Hopefully Joe's wound will heal quickly if it is a wound.

I think it is a wound. Every time I swallow I feel like there's a lump stuck there that won't go down, but there isn't anything stuck there, it's just a bit of the tissue that's torn or something. It's completely painless to swallow if I lie on my back but I'm not the sort to sleep on my back.

I think it's starting to heal now but it still hurts. I haven't cleaned my teeth tonight in case it aggravates it, but don't worry I normally clean my teeth regularly with an electric toothbrush but it won't hurt if I just give it a miss tonight. It shouldn't take long to heal, as my wounds usually heal up very quickly.

It sounds like a wound. Unfortunately you'll have to wait til it heals. You can't lie on your back to swallow all the time can you. Actually if it hasn't healed within a week you could ask the doctor about it, hopefully you can ask online.

Take care of yourself

If its still sore try getting a mouth wash with clove in it. It has a numbing effect.

Zero alcohol mouthwash btw

Oh yes, cloves are good for mouth injuries!

I don't like my food being too hot because it sometimes burns the roof of my mouth and my tongue. My boyfriend often gets on to me if I get distracted by something when my dinner is ready, just because it won't be as hot as it was when it first came out the oven, so I have to tell him over and over that I don't mind if my food cools down a little because then I can eat it comfortably without having to keep blowing on it before putting each spoonful into my mouth. Some food traps heat, like oven chips, so even when you cut them in half and blow on them they still burn the inside of your mouth.

How is your throat today?

I know what you mean about food being too hot. I have burnt my mouth so often that I need to calm down and wait for it to cool a bit.

I always wait at least 15 minutes after something is cooked to eat it.

I cannot take hot food at all.......

Do you like hot food as in spicy curry and chili?

I do not. I can't understand anyone liking hot curries and chili etc. It just upsets my tummy, even slightly spicy food. I like mild, easy to eat food.

I don't like spicy food at all. I feel like it takes away from the natural taste of foods.

I can take curry and most chilies fairly well; I don't seek these out, though accept it when I do get it.

Well that's something.

I avoid spicy, curry, chili etc. foods like the plague. I can't even take many processed foods. I need the purest, simplest diet. It is very inconvenient.

I know----especially these days.

It's a tradeoff sometimes, though.

One really has to live in the "wild" in order not to get processed foods. Or really pay through the nose.

My problem is, if I eat too much processed food or other foods that don't suit me, I throw up. I'm tired of throwing up all the time, it's horrible. So I generally cook all my own food.

Of course, I can certainly understand you not wanting to throw up, Lily.

I would seek to do something about that, too.
