oh yeah, go on myspace, some of these girls have like 400+ picture comments and just continously add strangers asking for more.

i do not know if it is possible to become addicted to compliments, but i guess it is possible if one gets some sort of reward from them.

i am not very much interested in compliments because i do not know what the complimenting person is really thinking.
how would they know enough about my endeavors to praise me? also, i know not whether anyone else should be praised and so i have never complimented anyone about anything,

what would praise achieve anyway? if someone is good at what they do, then their talent is not modulated by external endorsement.

i need no one to tell me i did the right thing, because i always trust i did the right thing.
i am not like anyone i ever met, so i can not give much credit to their analysis of me.

Well, not addicted, but I craved compliments for a while, for the brief second that I actually believed what they said. I don't do that much anymore, usually now it makes me feel worse because I worry that I'm being selfish for asking for a compliment.
I wish you luck on working on your self-esteem, I'm doing the same thing right now.
