I feel very very disappointed I came out to my car yesterday to discover it all scratched and dented I don't know how long it has been there but after a really long day at work on Tuesday I parked my car near the station and got back to find a hand written piece of cardboard under
windscreen saying "Come to Dimmeys (a small discount department store) no plate". Thinking it meant the number plates I looked I have all the correct number plates but it is quite possible given the damage was on the passenger side (I rarely go there) that someone was pretending to write their details and put that instead. I feel upset someone would damage a car like that and take off I have only it had three months.

That would be very upsetting. Why don't you take some time and read through the forum to take your mind off your troubles. That's what the internet is for-- Real life sucks. Sorry about your car though. Mine's all banged up but after the first few scratches, I'm over it.....even though I'm still paying on it....

Edit: Good call on the Dimmy's fake out! Aren't there cameras on the streets around there?

Sorry about your car. Something like that happened to me two years ago. It happened at home too. I parked my car on side our house. When I went to walk the dog that Sat morning I noticed my car looked lopsided. I knew that I didn't park like that. Well on my front bumper driver's side it was all damaged. Someone must have hit that side really hard during the night. No note was left on my car at all so I have no clue who did it. I had to file a hit and run to the local police. I tried driving it and it made a funny noise so I called up a local auto body shop and they towed it. I had to have a rental for a whole month! They had to order new parts for my car and all. I was relieved to finally get my car back. My car is a 2003 model. Even though it isn't a new car, still to have anything damaged to your car is bad! So I can relate to you. My car insurance took care of the costs. It was a lot of paperwork and all. My dad took care of it otherwise I would have been confused.

....Or maybe they wanted you to come to Dimmy's because they didn't have the right plates...Maybe I should quit reading your post over and over; I'm becoming obsessed with it too! :)

file a hit and run to the police and let insurance deal with it.

Same thing happened to my/dad's car a few weeks ago. Very minor paint damage, but it hasn't been fixed yet.

My dad had his car scratched a couple of years ago, and he felt the same way. I'd feel the same way, if I owned a car and somebody did that to it.
