excited for my trip to yosemite this week. wondering how i'm gonna pretend to be sick at work so i can make it.
i don't know if i have snow boots or thick socks (not that it will definitely snow there, but it's likely)

but i probably don't. if i don't buy them before leaving - not that i would be able to justify it with my increasingly tight financial situation and my outstanding pair of parking tickets - i'll definitely buy some at REI or something before moving to the much more chronically muddy and wet PNW.

this january. very excited. i haven't changed residence since 2003 and have never lived away from my parents at all so i don't know what to expect anyway.

female boss and female coworker today told me one of the best ways to keep a woman is to ask them how they feel about a situation, or how they opine.

just talk to her, don't be quiet. i'm doing it all wrong basically.

well, i did exactly that with S and it didn't work out. must be more to it than that.

maybe my marijuana habit is catching up to me. my chest has felt weird all day and i've felt slightly out of breath.
it must be something else, no? it's only been 14 months since i started and i took all of last july off the herb, plus i don't do it every day.

well, i should probably listen to my body anyway.

anglo-saxons went from basically conquering the world and creating breakthrough scientific innovations on a seemingly weekly basis...to having life-threatening allergic reactions to f*****g peanut dust, not being able to eat bread and chastising men on twitter for having their legs too far apart on the metro.

truly a weird peoples

Because of high housing prices elsewhere, I am likely stuck in Texas forever.

housing prices tend to be low in western PA where i live.

I'm trying to relocate to Seattle, which is my third choice, after being priced out of NYC and the SF Bay Area.

i wish you luck, all of king county [containing seattle] is horribly expensive, not just the cost of real estate/rent but the cost of groceries and everything else is through the roof. if you don't make 6+ figures, forget about king county. pierce county to its south [containing tacoma] is somewhat more affordable for the time being, thurston county [south of pierce county and containing state capitol Olympia] more affordable still. last affordable place is mason county, a lot of californicatin' is happenin' here also but less so than the more desirable northern counties. but i repeat, seattle is hopeless in terms of affordability unless you make 6 figures, if you don't believe me, the national chamber of commerce says that average income to even begin to afford seattle is $90k/annum.

I'm trying to get into tech so I can make 6 figures so I can live there.

It's easier than trying to stage a revolution in Texas.
