well my dad is back from seeing my aunt for two weeks and that was the only two weeks of silence I haven't gotten in a long time
he turns the tv up so f*****g loud you can hear it three houses away and he never turns it down when I ask him to

I cant f*****g think like this it makes me want to just punch myself in the face till I pass out or something
I have to stay up till 6 am just to get silence since he does not go to bed till like 4 am
I would disconnect the cable if I knew which one was going to that tv but he would probably just go another tv and turn it up just as loud

You could turn off the circuit breakers to the house.

All I ever have are obvious suggestions, but have you tried earplugs to at least soften it?

Bummer.

If it's not buried, you could cut the cable line coming into your house and set up a tether on your smartphone for internet.

Maybe you can make a deal with him? He can play the TV stupid loud, but you can punch him in the head repeatedly as he watches TV. Once again, I must apologize that I all I have to offer are obvious suggestions.

If Dad likes it *that* loud, I wonder if he would enjoy a pair of nice headphones for the holiday?

Like a pair of wireless, super-padded brain blasters that can really rock his world, while leaving yours more quiet.

I hope you find some kind of solution. That situation would drive me bonkers.
