once witnessed a woman (from the UK) on another site getting accused of lying about her pregnancy because she didn't have her own private midwife

The person accusing her was from another country where you must obviously get your own personal midwife to see you through each and every bump in the road of your pregnancy or maybe the accuser was so privileged in their own life that they don't understand what it's like to have to rough it with the rest of society...

I didn't even know the name of any midwife when I was pregnant because this just simply doesn't happen in the UK on the NHS

Anyway I was pretty appalled by what I saw happening to this woman...IT WAS BULLYING AND TARGETED AS WELL!

Just needed to get that out of my system because it's been festering for a while now..thanks

It turns out that one of the members that I was missing wasn't such a Sweet Pea after all. I made the mistake of reading posts from 2007 and I deeply regret it.

Usually just my feet are cold, but today my hands are cold too, so that's a bummer. One can wear socks, but wearing gloves indoors may be too weird.

Is that some kind of disorder you have there coldfeet

I am sick of the RTO (Registered Training Organisation) system in my country.

When I was growing up the government did licencing exams for any ticket you needed for work.
Anyone could learn enough at the local library to obtain a license in almost any subject for the price of a licence fee.(Except medical/veterinary of course)

Now one has to spend thousands for a substandard course which is assessed in house and the organisation gets subsidised for how many people pass the course.
Naturally they pass EVERYONE.

How is this sustainable? I have seen licensed operators who know virtually nothing about the subject they're supposed to be proficient in.
I paid thousands for a remote pilots licence course and was disgusted to find the course study matter looked like someone's school project.
It was riddled with typos, grammatical errors and, worst of all, factual errors.

I did their online AROC (Aviation Radio Operators Certificate) which was composed of 10 multi-choice answers. The passmark was 70%.
Having experienced their shonky material, I copied each question and, on completion, verified the answers.
3 of their answers were wrong.
If I had made a mistake I would have failed.
One was BASIC airmanship. "If you're landing on runway 27 left, what is painted on the far end?"
Their answer was 09L. They didn't change hands! It should have been 09R

Their response to my challenge? "It's OK...you passed"

Nobody seemed to realise how soul destroying it is for a student to find they've been learning from morons.

Nah, it's fine. I like my cold feet. I mean it's annoying, but also it's funny to put them on people because they freak out over how cold they are.

I've changed over the past three weeks but some people don't see it. I no longer like Trump. I've ditched the Schultz avatar for the Olympics and maybe beyond. I'm now a Pro-Lifer for Kamala because I like her stance on LGBTQ rights and she respects handicapped people. For the crime of have Germany as my second love, I still get roasted. Canada's my first love. I see the username that I thought I would never outgrow beside every post that I make. I should have just gone with KinksFan, but I had to choose CockneyRebel.

Yet again, Reddit has blanked out one of my posts.  The reason?  "Awaiting moderator approval".

No swear words, no doxxing, no commercial ads, and nothing that would make any one person feel offended.

I have noticed, however, that authors of well-written posts (five-point essay layout; good grammar, punctuation, and spelling; et cetera) are often accused of using AI services, or of being AI "bots" themselves.

What does Reddit have against good literary practices?

I have about 31 bugbites after being outside for 18 minutes. my adapalene gel for acne f**ked up my skin after 3 uses, and now my face feels like paper and like my epidermis has been removed. No amount of moisturizer can make it feel not like paper so that’s nice.
I learned the consequences of taking a certain pill antibiotic on an empty stomach will make my stomach contents revisit me for the first time in 11 years and i still feel nauseous.

My mood isn’t sh*t, though, so that’s nice. Really a plus /gen

I just broke my glasses and it set me off. I have been "on" for the past week, meaning I've been masking and being extra social with events at work. I'm living with my parents right now and I don't have the space or privacy that I'd like. I also have been feeling ill and have just been powering through this week. And now on top of that, the right arm of my glasses was loose and in my trying to fix it, I broke it worse than before. I ordered the same ones for the same RX but it was expensive and I had to do expedited shipping. The whole thing is frustrating. I can't see without my glasses so I used some electrical tape to keep the arm on but now it's in my peripheral vision and the arm is loose. I'm so so tired and upset. I can't reach out to my best friend because it's his birthday and I can't reach out to my partner because we're long distance and he isn't answering. So I'm typing all this out on a forum because I'm crying alone in my room because my glasses broke.

AND I moved away from my old therapist who I loved and now I have to start all over again!! !! !! !! !! !

I've been trying not to be triggered by critisism.
It's not working.
Explaining that I'm trying not to go into meltdown over it doesn't stop people criticising.
From there it's one more tiny jab and I'm gone.
Then it's like I'm blowing that tiny thing out of proportion, when in fact it's the accumulation of a number of things.
Feel like I want to give up.
The evidence is in.
I'm obviously no good.

How do I... Stop being triggered by my own mom?

I mean... I was able to manage with my own bosses.


But how do I stop with my own mom???

I had a migrene two day ago, yesterday I flet like crap the whole day. And now I feel like I have wet paper and bleach in my stomach because someone thinks soggy tortilla with beef, the worst tomatoes imaginable, dry french fries, and mayo with ketchup is acceptable food. I don't expect takeaway to be anything fancy, but seriously, MAYO WITH KETCHUP!?!?!? There is a special place in hell for people like this.
