When all I have are my work, my hobbies and my wounds, I start to stagnate.

I need to find ways to get out more on a low budget scale. Seriously. Boredom is one of my biggest triggers for deep depression, I have noticed.

So, I am asking for ideas.

Go to ballgames, if you like sports. Even minor league baseball.

That gets rid of depression mighty quickly.

If you're not into watching sports, take walks. Just get out there.

We should feel fortunate that we have the Internet. I didn't have it for the first 36 years of my life.

Just the sunlight and beautiful air outside can help you. I recommend bicycling if you already have a bike. If not, you can find a decent used one for $50 or so. Even if that's too much, there are plenty of other things. Take jogs, do jumping jacks. Go to your local cultural centre and try to pick up a new language.

Very true.

My sponsor is suggesting I go to the library, check out novels, then pack a lunch, go to the park, and read on a park bench when the weather is nice. That actually sounds enjoyable.

I also was suggested to go to coffee shops, buy a latte, and read a book there, just to get out.

Too much time in my apartment is too f*****g toxic for me. I spend too much time in my own head, and that can't be good.

I drive downtown, park my car, and simply go for walks. I like doing this when all the rich millenial state workers (I live in California's state capital) are out and about and trying to impress each other with how rich and trendy they are, it's rather amusing for somebody like me who is an outsider to watch, it's like anthropologists from Harvard going to Africa to observe tribes. When your "hobby" is fapping to Japanese porn, ANYTHING is better.

same as me. except i ain't got no job. and the only jobs that i had in the past were minimum wage. and they fired me. so whatever hobbies, have to be free or produce money. maybe panhandling could be a hobby.

lately, i have felt bored out of my mind. (fine). and boredom triggers clinical depression for me too. (fine). but plenty of things trigger clinical depression.

and there are things much worse than boredom.

anyways, think about doing your hobbies more often. or think about doing things similar to your hobbies that are a little different. for example, if someone's hobby is playing tuba, then someone could expand to cornet too.

likewise, since i ain't got no job, plenty of time wasted.
