Um, Ezra, I know I am supposed to be cooking my breakfast right now, but - you do realize - you probably could make a living as a professional nature/scenic photographer (like Ansel Adams or Galen Rowell).

I'm not joking, you have a blazingly brilliant gift for composition and light.

Now I really need to go scramble some eggs...

Well thank you very much. They're just pictures taken with my phone. I don't know beans about real cameras and photography. Maybe I can study it in college.

I thought you weren't planning to go to college? ... there is so much opportunity ahead of you, be sure to sip and savor life.

IMO it's not about the tools your using it's about about composition and having a good eye. Obviously this is subjective to the viewer of your work but I think you have a good eye for what makes a good photograph.

^^Yes to this, Ferris, absolutely. Honestly Ezra, I don't think you'll need much instruction beyond technical tricks and what's available, and I'd be surprised if you haven't already figured out most of that.

You really have a good eye for this. These look like professional photos. I didn't mention Adams and Rowell at random!

I'm not really planning on not going. Just accepting the possibility I can't cut it. I am planning on taking a gap year. Or maybe just a gap half year.

How's this for Ansel Adams wannabe? That pole line ruined it. But I could remove that.

What? Your social life is being monitored and documented by EzraS , there's laws about that sort of thing

Wow Ezra. Just wow.

You really could, because you already have.

Interesting I didn't think of it being symbolic of anything. I don't know where I was exactly. Somewhere on hwy 2 in the Cascades.

I could almost smell the moist winter air near that river. (I've been there, maybe not that exact place or river, but in the Cascades.)

That was sometime in march I think. From looking at the map and street view that's the south fork of the Skyhomish river near Index.
