So you're an unreconstructed dracophobe? How deplorable.

Proud of it. I wear a white hood made of asbestos. Probably not a good idea actually.

^Needs bookshelves and, obviously, books. Do you have room for a library? If not you could turn the sitting room into a library; nobody's going to sit on furniture that uncomfortable anyway. Or the animal head room.

I think you should redecorate the animal head room anyway, and mount the heads of your enemys on the walls.

This is the library. There are more bookshelves than seen in the picture. I also have about 10 books laying on tables around the house. 2 are on the library table.

This is reported to be Ezra's favorite beverage.

When you buy a house in the game it is completely empty.

When you go into decorate mode a bunch of translucent boxes appear on the walls and floor. You then put items into the boxes called "hooks".

You can also move the items around like one would with real furniture. One of the problems is they do not provide enough hooks for the ardent decorator. So sometimes stuff has to be moved through walls or floors. It gets very complicated at times.

Getting the furniture items can be complicated too.

This particular set up was very difficult to pull off:

I still think Ezra is destined to study law, but maybe he can take up law as a kind of hobby after he makes his first million in game design.

I appreciate the vote of confidence. However using what was designed I'm sure is a lot easier than actually doing the designing. But who knows maybe this is the first step.

Game design is a big area right now. Here's a whole list of top online programs, some may be free:

The guy who introduced me to this game is into development. He started playing avidly when he was 5. I only started playing this single game about four years ago. There is a discussion forum for it and I often do not understand what the hardcore gamers are talking about. Even though they are talking about a game I play daily.

A friend of mine in grad school (an English major) taught himself how to write the old text adventure games, which are still great, and he won some kind of prize at the time as I recall.

Do you know Zork, one of the originals? There are online versions of it:

https://textadventures.co.uk/games/view ... hz_vq/zork

(Try starting with "open mailbox" and "read leaflet")

And here's a perfect one to start with – free to take, or $99 to get the professional certificate to go with it:
